Good questions, straight answers
Pricing and how a job runs
How much will the job cost?
You get a fixed written price before any work begins, so the figure you approve is the figure on the invoice, and the call out and assessment cost you $0.
Do you charge by the hour?
No, the job is priced as a complete fix after a proper look, and that number holds whether the work runs long or wraps up early.
What happens when I call?
A licensed plumber picks up, tells you what the fault likely means and what to stop using, then books a time and quotes the full fix once it has been diagnosed properly.
What if I am not happy with the work?
The Lifetime Labour Warranty covers the workmanship for life, so if something is not right we come back and make it right at no cost.

Licensing, safety and credentials
Are you licensed and insured?
Every plumber on the team works under licence #275278C with full insurance, and compliance certificates arrive with the invoice as standard.
Is gas work handled by a licensed fitter?
Always, because gas work is licensed work in NSW, and every joint is pressure tested before the line goes back into service. A suspected leak is urgent at any hour, so call now rather than waiting to see whether the smell fades.

Availability and emergencies
Do you actually answer the phone after hours?
Yes, day or night, weekends and public holidays included, and the voice on the line is a licensed plumber rather than an answering machine.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Water pouring where it should not be, a sewer backing into the house, an overflowing toilet, no hot water through a cold snap, or any smell of gas. The emergency plumbing page sets out what to do in the first minutes of each, before help arrives.

Services and the local area
Why do drains keep blocking around here?
The mature canopy and bushland-reserve street trees push roots into ageing sewer lines, and homes built before 1940 often still run original earthenware clay pipes that crack with ground movement. Autumn leaf fall adds to the load, and a CCTV drain inspection shows where the roots are getting in.
Can old clay pipes be fixed without digging up the garden?
Often, yes, because pipe relining installs a cured liner inside the damaged pipe, sealing cracks and root intrusions from within, which suits the established gardens on the older ridge streets. Details are on the pipe relining page.
Why does my hot water struggle in winter?
At about 106 metres on the ridge, winters run cooler than coastal suburbs, so incoming water starts colder and morning demand peaks harder, which older units near end of life feel most. The repair-versus-replace call is explained on the hot water repair page.
Do you work on apartments near the station as well as houses?
Yes, the unit blocks and newer Village Hub apartments around the railway station precinct get the same service as the detached homes, from compact continuous flow units to concealed mixers. The plumbing hub lists the full residential scope.
Can you find a leak I can hear but cannot see?
Hidden leaks behind double-brick walls or under slab floors are pinpointed with sensitive listening equipment and infrared imaging, so any opening-up happens at the right spot the first time. Details are on the leak detection page.
Which suburbs do you cover?
Service runs across the village and the surrounding Ku-ring-gai area, taking in Roseville, Killara, East Lindfield, Chatswood and Gordon, each with its own page, starting with the plumber in Roseville page.
How do I book a non-urgent job?
The same way as an urgent one: call (02) 9072 0504 or leave your details on the contact page, and maintenance check-ups, renovations and planned replacements are booked around your schedule.
